High match rate schools

Graduated from UNC this spring and matched at one of my top residency choices, so I was in school after the major curriculum change mentioned by other alums. In addition to the strong AHEC connections for APPEs, all students complete 6 months of IPPEs (2 months after PY1, 2 months in the spring of PY2, and 2 months in the fall of PY3 year), which seemed to occur earlier and more frequently than some other schools of pharmacy I considered when applying. Two of my IPPE months were at a community site, 1 was in an inpatient pharmacy, and the remaining 3 were in clinical settings. All this exposure helps bolster student networking and engagement in employment/internship opportunities, which aided greatly in the residency prep pathway in my experience.
