I can feel you sort of weighing it up, I can tell you would prefer to do it for your safety but you’re embarrassed and afraid of punishment. If you do this now, I promise you your parents/parent probably will be more compassionate than you think and you’ve already accepted you’ll get a bit of a telling off. I honestly think maybe going through this experience might even help you with your anxiety as you’ll realise you can address these things with integrity and honesty and people will merit you on those things and try to help.

If you don’t feel comfortable saying it in person, do it over text! If this is what you need to do to make yourself comfortable doing it, write out your message, and then just close your eyes, and hit send. What happens next is whatever, but you did the right thing for yourself.
