Somehow despite a very musical upbringing I was never introduced to Springsteen. My parents weren't fans (not that they disliked him, they just didn't know him) nor were my older brothers.

I was at Glastonbury in 2009 when he played and I saw him because there was nobody else on I particularly wanted to watch. It was a moment of rebirth. I didnt know a single song but the set blew me away like a religious experience.

Fast forward a few years and when meeting my then girlfriend's (now wife) parents Springsteen came up and I mentioned I'd seen him and how great he was and her dad went crazy. He's a huge fan and he's loved me ever since that moment.

A few more years forward and Springsteen was our first dance song at our wedding, and then later after years of trying and failing, Springsteen was the first thing I played when my wife had a positive pregnancy test.

He's gone from a complete unknown to me, to starring in the most important moments in my life.
