Back when the interview came out, Lindefann had an interesting take on it: "

In my humble opinion, this wasn't about a specific individual but systemic critcisms of the field which exists for example in Samuel Shem's Mount Misery based on his experiences in hospital starting out where he's taught "healthy narcissism".
