Brian was a hot head. Pretty sure Brian saw someone who owed him money for drugs. Followed him through town and then passed him and stopped his car in the middle of the road, forcing the other care to stop behind him. Brian then got out of his car and went to the car behind him. The driver was scared and pulled a gun and shot Brian.

There are rumors the murderer was the son of the sheriff. There is a sign on the side of the road near where the incident occurred. The phone number on the sign was Brian’s father.

Unsolved Mysteries came and filmed an entire episode but they decided not to air it because they were threatened with a lawsuit. They interviewed Trevor Powell and many family members at a hotel in Bloomington. The producer said she was certain Trevor knew more than he would say.
