Would this ram be worth it?

I would stay way from the 03 models. 6.5k is a lot for an 03. KBB.com suggests that the 03 would sell at $4998 in outstanding condition.

Look at these links. KBB, Edmunds, and NADA. Input your make, model, drive configuration, miles, and condition of the truck in the price estimator. Be honest with the condition of the truck. Aftermarket add-on like lowering, or different speakers only add for the buyer, and reflect zero value when using a price estimator.

Here's a list of TSB for the 03 Ram. A few thing to consider is that a lot of part are becoming discontinued. Dodge decided to do a revamp of the interior in the 04+. So things like turn signal levers, and cruise buttons are no longer available. New, or used. The 03 HEMIs also had issues with broken valve springs. The valve spring issues was fixed in late 03 going into the 04 models.

I am saying this all from experience. A few years back I bought a 2003 2WD Dodge Ram HEMI. One of the very first issues I had was the cat went out. Throwing a P0420 code.

I love my truck. Love the sound of it. Love the power when she's hitting on all 8, but she's old, and cranky. Needs a little TLC.

If this is the body style you like the 02-05~1/2 ish then look for an 04-05. If you just want a newer Dodge truck, and don't care about the year. Look for something in your price range that's closer to how you want the truck.

If you would like any of my adventurers regarding my 2+ years of ownership of a 2003 Ram HEMI feel free to PM me.
