[WTB] 3 Beginner Pens

I bought mine from Goulet and it was the second time they sent me a high-ticket item with an obvious flaw; evidently they don't care about the quality of items they send out. I didn't bother getting back to them about it.

Saying that a working nib is good is kind of a tautology. There's nothing special about the Visconti nib, except the obscene baby's bottom. I've used Lamy safaris and a TWSBI 580 which wrote like a dream. I even restored a warped and damaged pen nib (dropped) on a Sheaffer Snorkel and it's become my smoothest writer. If you feel there's something special about the Visconti nib then it's probably the placebo effect of paying so much.

I love the Visconti Homo Sapiens body and feel, and the capping mechanism. It would be a favourite for me if not for the nib. There are no nib meisters in my conutry I think, so there's little I can do. I tried to polish the baby's bottom out myself, made some progress toward it writing better, but it needs sooo much taken off because of the depth of the baby's bottom and I'm not game enough to do it.
