[X-post] DW Hack: Running in New Orleans, Update 12, is out, with playable Dragons and Fixers.

Okay! I missed the stated goal of high lethality. I'm mainly used to SR4/SR5 where you could pretty easily stand up to one or two shots. This looks more like, "if you get hit, you die." Which is fine, but just isn't the feel that I'm used to.

The other thing that's kind of vague is this:

Karma refreshes every game session. It allows you to re-roll one dice roll per point: whenever you roll damage dice, you may mark off 1 karma to re-roll all of your dice. This can be used defensively or offensively. You may only re-roll exploding damage dice, never ability dice (the 2d6 required by some moves).

Dice roll -> Roll of a dice? Every dice pool roll?

I think this is mainly a terminology thing. How you create a pool of damage dice and then roll it and reroll it is kind of off-handedly mentioned a few times, but it's one of the core conceits of your system and isn't covered in super good depth anywhere.

Also, there's a lot of vagueness about attacking multiple opponents. Zen Massacre says:

When you attack multiple opponents within reach, your second highest damage die applies to all.

To me, this means that there is a regular "attack multiple opponents" move, but that's not covered at all in Rock & Roll. In fact, Rock & Roll says this:

When you attack an enemy

Which to me implies singular. This could have been cleared up in how Damage Dice work, but there isn't a good section that covers it. I've actually been through the rules three or four times before I found where only the highest result dice counts.

I think your "For Example" sections in that area could stand to be set aside better. Italics to me always indicates "optional text" and it's very hard to understand the damage dice without the "

I think most of my problems were with the damage being semi-poorly covered. Now that I understand it, I think everything about this is solid.
