What happened at the worst party you've ever been to?

Wedding a few years ago: all of his friends ("us") thought he was a bad idea, but we were good bros and came to celebrate them. It was awkward: her family was crass and trashy, awful fix news types who just wanted to pick fights with all the liberals. My husband and I were told by 3 different people that, as a gay couple, we should be ashamed/arrested/dumped on an island and left to rot. She got trashed pretty fast with her sisters and buddies, there was a very uncomfortable, angry vibe. Though the bachelor party was a relatively chaste pub crawl, I heard from other friends that they'd had a massive fight that morning because she was sure he'd been out fucking strippers. Groom was putting on a good show, circulating and talking to people, but I recognized defeat in his manner. We tried to make it a cheerful occasion, but it was rough. She shut down his best man's speech (a forced, awkward affair), declaring it "old news". She was tanked. But the show went on. When they exchanged cake, she looked like she punched him with it. He was more gentle with his (he'd expressed discomfort days earlier with the passive aggression of cake smashing at weddings...early warning signs!), but she hauled off and actually hit him, splitting his lip. He lost his temper, first at her, then her folks, then everyone. He just lost it in general. His dad tried to hold him back, but everything came pouring out. The stripper-fucking came out at great volume, which he angrily denied (there were no strippers), to which she screamed "WELL I GOT BACK AT YOU, I FUCKED [mutual friend] LAST NIGHT!" At that pint his dad got a microphone and did his best to politely shut the party down. A fight broke out. Cops arrived. She was taken away, her family spewing racism at one of the Latino cops. His family payed for everything, but her parents tried to sue for "damages"(thrown out of court). They still harass dudes, who has an awesome girlfriend now. That was a rough 'un.
