3rd Tournament: Match Two

The floor is slippery

The stat most affected by the slippery floor is Speed. It will make people's agility MUCH worse, and give a HUGE BENEFIT to ranged combatants.

  • Gou gets a strong advantage because she can slide/rocket along the floor with her Cat Paper Jump. She is still far less quick than before, so it still hurts her overall. But her lunges will be mostly unavoidable. Since she can do Double Jumps, she will be basically on ROCKET SKATES. She might actually have more fun and be deadlier than normal....
  • Mack can use his Machte hands freely, but will have troubles moving around. He won't be able to use Machte Might well (because it's close-quarters)
  • Serge is very happy about the map because it makes it harder for people to engage in hand-to-hand combat with him.
  • Kiru is very sad about the slippery floor because it means that his effective speed is far lower than normal, and he doesnt have a way of pushing himself like Gou does. Her long arms will help her grab onto things though.

----> Serge and Mack are mostly unaffected, Gou will have fun sliding around, and Kiru's ability to fight has been GREATLY reduced.

Preliminary notes

  1. Serge can use all of his hatsus without issue. He will be the star player on Team A. Gou will be the star player on Team B.
  2. Machte Hands will definitely land on Serge.
  3. This means that most of Serge's emissions will be off, meaning too much or too little aura will be put into each ninja star throw, and after the 15 minutes is up, one hand can push aura away from the expiring one, meaning it MIGHT hit mostly unprotected flesh. Serge has a 3 in Endurance, so this will not do "too much" damage.
  4. Gou is VERY DUMB. Like...SUPER DUMB. Fortunately for her, her opponent's abilities are pretty straightforward (avoid the blood-spikes, avoid the ninja stars, avoid the hemogoblin).
  5. Kiru not being at full capacity will greatly hurt the team.

On Machte Hands vs Serge

  • THIS IS MY UNDERSTANDING, CORRECT ME IF I'M WRONG:
  • Machte Hands push/pull aura as it is built up around the enemy's body.
  • As an Emitter, Serge requires delicate control to build up aura in the right amount and location.
  • Machte Hands will GREATLY impact Serge's INITIAL CONTROL AND RELEASE of his emitted Ninja Stars.
  • Once the star has been emitted, Machte Hands can have no impact on their trajectory.
  • This can really REALLY screw with Serge's effectiveness in battle.

I'm not voting yet, but this is why I'm leaning towards Team B:

  1. Due to slippery floors, Serge is at 90% (can't dodge very well, but can use EVERY offensive power), Kiru is at ~50% (can't lunge, can't change direction/dodge very well), Gou is at 75% (can use Cat Paper Jump to rocket around and change direction quickly), Mack is at ~80% (can't dodge well, can use most powers except the close-up one).
  2. The use of Machte Hands vs Serge to disrupt Serge's emitted ninja stars
  3. Gou has extreme power, and if 1-2 hits land, her target is basically dead
