Im starting a petition thid werk primarily for thid & for all the other big issues (security/no support/etc) I will dhare on here then on twitter for CEO mosseri & Zuch (its his idea)
I am beyond mad & sad for the death of IG, they coulda left update like mine - my center icon became s Reels only black flip tiktok feed & the plus ivons at top fof noe like on profile. Even this is dumb imo cuz u can enter reels feed by tapping any reel in home?!
So when home screens converted u no longer see any STILL photos, CAROSEL/Multi stills, STILL SHOP products, no long video i think, its blocked out 90% of app for a ton of ppl & to a ppl complained & they continue to roll it out further & are literally destroying businesses/influencerz unless they post BS reels only
Ive been trying to warn ppl its spreading fast now very concerning this imo is THE time to speak up to revert it
A few options:
1:
Set up faves and tap on ‘INSTAGRAM’ on home page, you can add a lot of accts like 50(?) snd h will see EVERYTHING they post in chronological order. This is the feed i use now & alternate my faves, i see a ton of photos its CRAZY!
And my stories i explore ppls links to posts as much as i can.
2:
If u have automatic nightly or frequent cloud backups on… FIRST turn off automatic app updates in settings> app store (u must do all other apps every day or so by tapping them) THEN WIPE & RESTORE your phone from last backup hopefully before update maybe choose older backup if you can u will only loose a dag of do of stuff like if u restored s lost phone.
but it should hold it off im doing this rn & my faves…
->> tho im concerned my SO uses a facebook that hasn’t been updated for over 5 yrs only hase 4 icons & his VIDEO feed turned into Reels - he literally just quit Fb & we g to YouTube to watch videos!
