About Nightbound.

Completely agree! This book had so much potential and even though I loved it, every chapter I read I was just waiting for the plot to get better, but it just got more and more convoluted. Just layers of unexplored backstory that was supposed to give the characters (like Katy) depth but was abandoned 2 seconds later because we're done with this action scene and onto the next one and omg my dad is.. my DAD?? like.. it was a lot. It's so sad too because (imo) this book has some of the best and most diverse LIs, they just weren't given the ability to be fleshed out as people.

The writing imo wasn't even that bad. Like, the events were well written and had a lot of descriptive detail. I really enjoyed how they wrote that stuff, it brought a lot of life to the book and made those scenes so immersive.
