Actor/Author/Sailor, Sterling Hayden, interviewed in Paris (1970)

He wrote two books afaik, an autobiography and a novel. Tried reading his autobiography a few years ago but only got through the first 80 pages or so (out of 400+). It started out fairly interesting but personally I found it hard to follow as I went along, as he jumps around chronologically throughout the book and uses a lot of old timey vernacular and my reading comprehension isn’t great to begin with lol.

But it’s a highly rated book by all accounts, so it might be worth checking out if you’re a fan of his or interested in some of the stuff he writes about such as sailing, life at sea, serving in the Marines, Hollywood, the HUAC investigations, etc
