I’m calling bullshit, because it is. You’re not paying for a legitimate service that is going to benefit them in any way because their pimp is taking the money. Most sex workers have been abused since childhood, have mental/emotional issues, have substance abuse problems and usually have to deal with abusive pimps or clientele. It’s not what any society would consider a normal, productive job where they wait around for a call for service. Even in very regulated places like Nevada where sex workers that work in brothels are checked for STD’s every week, have actual job contracts and live somewhat decently suffer from the same problems as their counterparts on the street. If you want to help a sex worker, help her/him get off the street, off drugs and in the path to a different life - don’t use their services. Don’t whitewash the problem.
