Are you seriously trying to excuse over a million Europeans raped and enslaved in coastal raids which lasted for hundreds of years, depopulating entire towns along the Mediterranean along with the other massive brutality and invasion into Europe by Islamic forces and pretend it has nothing to do with Islam or that the crusades were in any way equivalent to a near endless onslaught for over a thousand years by Arab and North African Islamists? The Barbary states said what they were doing was for and permitted by religion. Just look at the results, the Middle East was Christian before it was Islamic, Syria was Christian before it was Islamic, and much of the last few remaining Christians were slaughtered in the last civil war.
