Afghans were never Hindu.

How did I make excuses? If a govt is pushing one language hard in schools (Urdu) and failing to even make Punjabi official, that will have an affect. That's not an excuse, its a fact. Where did I reject my language? I simply said Urdu has a place as a lingua franca so that people across Pakistan can understand each other, just as Dari is in Afghanistan. By courts I simply mean Supreme Court etc, not local courts (unless the population in a certain city/town is very mixed and requires a lingua franca). Punjabi is still by far the majority language in Punjab, just a bit less than it ideally should be in terms of being taught in schools and other institutions.

I also never blamed this on Afghans lol that would make 0 sense, I think you misunderstood my comment.

About Ertugrul, yes some Pakistanis take this a bit too far but vast vast majority love the show because they love Islamic history, not because they think "we wuzz ottmanz", this is a silly stereotype. Again, ive barely seen Punjabis obsess over Ertugrul. Also, no one wears Arab dress in Pakistan lol.

What do you mean "despite their reservations about fundamental aspects of Hinduism as a thought and cultural system - are still able to be cordial and respectful towards people with a completely separate identity."?? We are not Hindu, nor are we culturally Hindu? Would it be fair to me to say:

"Punjabis who despite their reservations about fundamental aspects of Zoroastrianism as a thought and cultural system - are still able to be cordial and respectful towards people with a completely separate identity". Sounds very backhanded to inferring that Punjabi Muslims are culturally or theologically Hindu.

Not sure how you think calling Punjabis kaaliyah or tor kwani, sons of hindus and ranjit singh, products of heera mandi etc isnt racist but ok.

Again, Punjabis by and large do not have an identity crisis, we're simply not that ethno-nationalistic and base our identity on Islam first. It's not our fault that most Afghans refer to the entire Indo-Aryan peoples as 'panjabyaan' and cannot differentiate between the identity of Punjabis and Muhajir Lahoris and Karachiites.

It's clear we disagree, but this so-called larping from Punjabis is so overstated as the entire Indo-Aryan population of Pak gets lumped together.
