I am an atheist.

Just googled them, and reminded me of this documentary I was watching on VICE on Al-Qaida in Syria. And relates to this idea I had or not idea but a thought.

All over the middle east people aren't learning about Islam properly, especially in poorer, war-stricken, areas. There is no proper institution where the people can learn about Islam. All they know is what is passed down breifly from their fathers and their fathers, but their father or mother would be in the same boat and their knowledge is limited to few things their parents said (make sense?).

Also note, many terrorist groups specifically target Imaams, sheiks, institution that does not tie into their political beliefs. (this is important). Any time someone knowledgable comes by and gives proper information, gets killed.

What replaces it? Some rich Arab group or CIA or Mossad or w/e will fund a group, give them all their materials and let them pursue their goals. Now the only source of information about Islam these people have are from criminals.

On the documentary by vice. There were groups of children who's parents were either killed or in war or displaced. Children were picked up by Al-Qaida, trained, endocrinated. All they were taught were Islam under Al-Qaida. We both know what Al-Qaida is. Now how will those children grow up to be and how will they view islam? How what will they then teach to their children? They will only preach hatred.

(See what i'm saying here?)

And then when you look at some Muslims in the US, I noticed a lot of converts and reverts are some pretty good people, and understand Islam because they have all the resources here. They can literally go on their computer and go to youtube and hear a wide vareity of lectures from different scholars, imaams, sheiks and broaden their understanding and learn as much as they can. (And even myself I am always learning).
