It is all gossip. Right now I have trouble finding those articles back, as there are so many new articles appearing regarding Confidence Man the movie. But the article was about how Toda fell out with Nagasawa regarding Higashide. Toda did not want to have him returning the industry, but Nagasawa felt that he was instrumental to the Confidence Man franchise. I do not know why Nagasawa felt the need to help Masahiro, but we do not know him personally. He might be a really friendly dude and knowing Japan’s lack of communication between couples and how divorce is such a big issue, perhaps there is more to the story than we know. Besides, I find it somewhat strange that a relatively rookie actress such as Karata is able to make a comeback. Even her Korean agency did not drop her. Perhaps Anne and Masahiro were already separated, but they never disclosed it publicly. Although they had kids during the whole cheating saga… Perhaps they had an open marriage, which is very controversial in Japan if it leaks out. Who knows.
