Toei just ruins Nami's image pretty much. I know the anime adds popularity to the franchise in general but they simply mess up. When Luffy and Nami escaped thanks to Jinbe, the manga version didn't have a glimpse of fanservice. She was completely covered up, yet see how much they added in the anime with every single chance/shot they had available. Even sites like comicbook made articles about her showing off skin as if it's the canon story's/specific character's fault.

They also destroyed one of her highlights in the arc. Among the forced fanservice, milking and giving remarkable moments in fillers for more characters to shine, at least boost her actual achievements themselves.
