Perspective is interesting. My first half ton pickup was only ~180hp. And that was an improvement from previous years, with fuel injection! 355hp is not gutless. Yes, you can always get more power. But that always comes with sacrifices, like maintenance costs and reliability.

Pickups aren't generally about speed. They're about endurance. It's not how fast can it go around a track, it's about how much work I can put it through. Mod your truck if you want, seriously, go nuts: it's yours! But most of us just want something that we don't need to think about between oil changes and can haul our lumber from Lowe's, our feed from the feed store, and our kids to church, in all weather, reliably and safely.
