Let me tell you about tier lists. The only way to assess the reliability of a tier list is if you are an expert in the game yourself. Even asking others for a tier list doesn't work because the only way you can tell if someone else is an expert in the game is if you are knowledgeable about the game and competitive scene as well. Likely what you'll get is people just linking you to tier lists made by people who are too ignorant to know how wrong they are or people just listing off the picks of tourney winners, which itself isn't a terribly reliable way to judge because it's hard to compare the skills of other players, impossible if you're not, again, an expert in the scene. Like someone will say Black Adam because Sonic Fox won a tournament with him. But the guy in second place, Tekken Master, mained Atrocitus and his match before the finals was someone playing Black Adam. The Atrocitus main beats one Black Adam main but not the other, how do you rank that? You can't, you don't have the experience in the game to do it. I don't either. And anyone telling you they can on reddit is most likely too ignorant to know how wrong they are.

Fuck tier lists, if you want to know how good characters are, the only way you can know for sure is by getting really good at the game playing lots of characters against lots of really good opponents (not PUGs).
