What is the most unbelievable coincidence you ever experienced?

Not just one, more like a series of them. I have proof backing up all of this, including some damn witnesses.

-I had a HUGE, irrationally passionate teenage crush on Dominic Monaghan from the time I was maybe 12. (Merry from Lord of the Rings, Charlie from Lost. I was a strange teenager, okay?) and had his pictures all over my walls. I got into The Beatles because he loved them. Stuff like that.

-I lived in New Orleans for a time, but would go back every year for Mardi Gras even after we moved away since my grandparents lived in Baton Rouge. Then, Mardi Gras 2004 happened when I was 16. I found out that Elijah Wood was to be on Bacchus (a parade, for those who are unfamiliar) and Dom would be on Orpheus.

-There exists a 15 minute long home video of Dom throwing me and my mother beads, me freaking the absolute shit out, and Dom basically giving me a kiss (standby, I will have this video uploaded as soon as I have my little brother at home go through our old home movies, find the tape and digitize it, as it was recorded on an old school 2000 16mm tape). His float stopped for a good 15 minutes. Somehow, my stepdad was able to perfectly catch an interesting exhange, panning from me to Dom and back and forth. The guy next to Dom points to some crazy girl losing her mind over him in the audience (me), then has Dom kiss his hand. The dude bends over the side of the float for me so I could grab his hand. Most mortifying footage ever.

-Fast forward about 10 years after graduating college. I'd had Twitter for a while but never used it. One day I remembered "Oh my God Dom, I wonder what he's doing these days," and found him on Twitter. Apparently, he and I were both video game nerds and both happened to be playing Skyrim, so I would occasionally respond to his tweets about it, obviously expecting nothing and not even thinking much of it. One day he tweets about being stuck in some cave (or trying to find it? I can't quite remember) and I answered because I had just so happened to have gone through that cave hours earlier. He responded to me. I shut down.

And for those who believe in karma and want to add an extra piece of what the fuck, I had been pressing charges against my biological father for sexual child abuse, had been able to get a recorded phone call of him admitting everything, and I knew it would be any day when I got the call that he was being charged, arrested and indicted. I got that call 3 days before this initial Twitter exchange. It felt like some kind of solid from the universe, I won't lie.

-Then he starts PM'ing me on Twitter. This leads to emails being exchanged, yada yada yada and all of a sudden, we were friends. He called me and left me a very sweet voicemail after my grandfather died because he had seen some of my tweets. I called him back and we had a wonderful conversation about life and death and he really made me feel better. I was having phone conversations with my teenage crush, which eventually led to flirting, to having him ask to fly me out (I refused). I kept telling myself he was just flirting and it didn't matter to him when in hindsight, now I feel like an asshole because he really was trying to drop pretty strong hints that he really did like me and I just wasn't buying it. Ultimately kinda grew apart. Maybe that video will get his attention if I can find it.

Just a series of interesting little coincidences and maybe a tiny bit of karma if you believe in that sort of stuff led me from having a crush on a celebrity as a teenager to actually getting to hang out with him, play video games, and literally live the dream.
