Anyone successfully maintain/control weight gain during pregnancy?

I gained a total of 19lbs with my first and 22lbs with my second, starting from an 18.6 BMI. I gained quickly in the first and second trimesters with my first pregnancy, so my clinic told me I had to stop gaining so much. I wound up counting calories and being very strict about what I ate, but in the third trimester I basically stopped gaining weight completely. I didn't feel that ravenous hunger I felt in the first and second trimesters anymore and there wasn't much space in there anyway. I followed exactly the same curve in my second pregnancy, gaining a lot at first and then almost stopping in the third trimester. I tried to keep eating more in the third trimester because I knew I stalled out last time, but it only wound up adding three extra pounds. In my first pregnancy, I was back to my pre-pregnancy weight in about a month. I'm 7 weeks PP now and I am still about 10lbs over my pre-pregnancy weight... Hoping to get back there soon, but I'm having insane sugar cravings and not being able to go out for walks or go out anywhere isn't helping much.
