Attended the SDM beauty gala today

I work at a shoppers and gala days always nothing special, imo. At my store, we only do the free makeovers by appointment, and it’s usually only the regulars that sign up. Plus, we only allow 30 minutes for a makeover so it’s hard to do something super detailed in that time frame. But I agree with you saying the makeovers should be more customer oriented - I would hate to have someone teach me something I already know. I’ll ask the customers I have next time what they’d like to learn about.

It’s nice that the money goes to charity, and you get $5 off, but it’s just makeovers and employees trying to upsell stuff to you. I think it would be more fun if there was food, music, or literally anything else. However, I’m gonna tell my manager what you said so we can make improvements! It’s always interesting to see the galas from a customer’s point of view.
