Because we're Delta airlines....

Oh my god. No. Wages are NOT a proxy for workers' comp insurance. Good grief. How / when wages are calculated is NOT the same thing. That is financial calculation for wages which was negotiated by the union. You want to take issue with the fact that a flight attendant's wages begin to accrue based on the time the door closes. That seems unfair because an FA arrives at the airport, goes through security, checks in at the crew lounge for briefing, walks to the airplane, gets settled in, and goes through the boarding process. None of that time is "compensated" but they are in fact working. That's a lot of time for which an FA is not compensated!

But for purposes of workers' compensation insurance, flight attendants are working and on duty from the moment they step foot in the airport and until they leave the next airport. By your logic, an FA who is injured from slipping on water leaking from the ceiling onto the terminal floor directly in front of the gate is ineligible for WC coverage. If you think that's the case, then you have no clue how workers' comp operates. I do as it is my job.

You don't know what you're talking about and refuse to admit you are wrong. I think you are the troll here.
