Best Build for….

the top comment posted some incredible builds, but here's what i recommend if you decide you want a more classic play style. make a character that has character arcs. for example, in the early game do a block and one handed build. once block is up to level 100 switch to a battle mage type character. once the other combat skills are up to 100 switch over to a pure mage.

look for points in the story that incite your character in the game to make a switch. for example, maybe during the dawnguard quest he learns of sun magic and becomes interested in the restoration school of magic, which leads him to dabble in the others as well. later on he realizes he could take those skills to their full potential by studying at the college. after seeing the events in that storyline he'll realize that the power of magic is limitless and that he's already reached his peak with the combat skills.

by the end of that road you'll have gotten most of the perks in two skill trees. you're only limited by your creativity, you could do any quest or progress in any skill at any time as long as you can work up a reason why your character would do that.
