Best cinema?

None of them are really that spectacular. If it's the exact same film being shown, then I'd just go with the cheapest and most convenient that night.

The Vue does £4 Mondays and the Light Cinema does £7 Wednesdays (which you can couple with Meerkat 2-for-1) and you can get an unlimited monthly pass. The Picturehouse does £7.50 Mondays and around a £2 discount if you're a member (which is worth it if you're a student and you're planning on going a lot).

The Picturehouse has slightly posher snacks on offer but they're all near a wide selection of shops and restaurants.

However, I've not found I have to choose between them that much . The Picturehouse is the only one that shows art films but the other two are considerably cheaper.

I've never really understood the hype around the Picturehouse though. It puts on some cool screenings now and then but its screens and seating are nothing special. And at least one of their screens is disappointingly small. I certainly wouldn't pay a premium to see a film there over the other two.

I've never noticed a problem with unruly teens in Cambridge. Not in any of the cinemas. In fact, Cambridge audiences are the most well-behaved I've come across in the UK. But then again, I don't tend to see blockbusters on the weekend, so what do I know?
