You're right I don't need to explain myself, and I wasn't.

"Now that (I) know?!?

I don't know which country you are from, and if you are a members of a minority group, but you comment reads as the epitome of anglo-saxon colonial elitism (with a suspicion to the US one).

People need to accept and be sensitive to the fact people in other countries have different experiences with racial relations, and that some terms are used differently or non at all because they have a different connotations. You are likely to encounter these people (such as myself) online, and it is unfair, and wrong, to police them for using terms that are okay and accurate in their society. People of a country can't, and should not, try to appease another single country experience and sensitivities (which is something the US keeps pushing).

I never tell a person online, who I know comes from another country, what terms to use and not use after they told me those are the agreed upon terms in their country. I accept and respect their culture, their experience and history, I expect them to do their same.

And now this is where this conversation is ending on my part.
