Preface I’m mixed Hispanic and Afro Caribbean idk if that helps figure out my hair type or not.

So i usually keep my hair short my entire life and when i didn’t do anything to it it looks like the 3rd picture. I later decided to get waves as present in the last pic and that’s how it looked, but now I’ve been growing it out and the first 2 pics show it as of now. I’m unsure if i wanna go back to it being short without waves or growing it out and getting sponge curls with a fade, and maybe way later on box braids or cornrows. Does my hair allow either option or not really? Either way any help to figure out what hair type I have will be greatly appreciated.
