carta 2 wont connect to android app

all the qr codes in their manual link to a web address rather than opening their correct application so instead of play store i get play store in a web browser.

get the app and it wants to know where i am, wants an account created (an account that doesnt work on their site btw so 2 account for 1 device)

the app doesnt connect and there is literally no path to support. no functional guidance on their web page and no effective way of communicating with them at all.

the link to the "howto" video provided via broken qr link is absolute trash and completely irrelevant to this device. It doesn't show HOW to do anything he just says things that can be done and does explain them at all.
