Cat vs Emily lawsuit highlights

I mean.... her dad joining in on this lawsuit, even if Emily has crossed the line in ways, is pretty scummy and indicative of parental dysfunction. What parent sues their newly-divorced adult kid who’s going through a mental health episode on top of custody issues? IMO, a parent who loves control and getting his way more than he loves his own daughter. Emily is a basket case, and she’s wholly responsible for her own actions as an adult, but I do think her parents psychologically fucked her up in childhood and that behavior (on both sides) can still be seen today. Kid acting up? Have her ripped out of bed in the middle of the night and sent to a detention facility “school” in the middle of nowhere. Adult daughter acting up? Cut off communication and sue her for monetary damages. It’s all about control and power instead of love and support.
