I used to listen to this daily morning radio show until it went off air when covid hit. One of the running jokes was their female co-host who would just rave about Peaky Blinders and how good it was every time it came around again. And her two male co-hosts would rib her on it. xD It wasn't under covid and after the show went off air that I binged watched it.

It was surprisingly very good! I sent her a quick tweet that after all these years hearing her talk about it, I finally got around to watching it. She was so pleased. I'm not super into period pieces but it was a great and quirky show.

I think you just need to be mindful of when you do things 'out of spite'. If it's just for a bit of light hearted fun, then that's different. But if we give into this type of mentality too often, it becomes not far from the path of generic closed mindedness and cognitive bias.
