Everyone is different. I (single parent) tried dating a cub with a child. It was hard because our custody schedules rarely matched up. We did not end up together but that was due to "incompatibility".

Met another cub on a dating app. He had 7 kids between 2 women (had custody of some). He asked is if I was ok with a guy that had so many kids. My answer was "they're your kids and not mine therefore not my responsibility." He was taken aback. I know it wasn't the nicest answer but honestly there were red flags and I wasn't feeling him at all. Even if he had his life together and we clicked, I was not looking to be a mother/stepmother to someone else's children. Just as I'm not looking for any guy to step into the father role for my kids.
