Checked the comments on the Animemes post where they stated it was banned. Not a good idea. Holy shit.

I try to understand where both sides are coming from. I may not be offended by the term, but just because it doesn’t hurt me doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt other people. I can see where they’re coming from, but I disagree with them.

It’s not “karens being karens, bro” or “lol these idiots wouldn’t survive [insert game lobby or year here],” it’s about not making people feel like shit and excluded. Just because one word isn’t harmful to you, doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt someone else. Yeah it’s a word, but there’s no reason to put people down if they’re uncomfortable with it. We’re not “censoring” you or making it “politcal.” Our existance shouldn’t BE political. We’re not censoring what you can say 24/7. Just because you can’t say one naughty no-no word on a sub doesn’t mean you need to lose your fucking mind.

TL;DR: Just because you’re fine with it doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt other people. It’s not about “politics” or “censoring,” it’s about making everyone feel welcome.
