Man this poll is awful. It makes a mockery of any choice because it only simplifies a opinion into 2 ideas, "either your with it/us or against it/us" whichever you choose. The controversy about bootleg has shown that there are many contradiction between what is right and wrong, from the practices of bootleg, to vaporwave subculture as a whole. For example, the eccojams bootleg is succeeding now and has almost reached funding in a matter of hours. Many would say this is good due to indications of no future physical release, it being a pillar of vaporwave and a dream to have a copy of what defined the genres origin, and because bootlegs "define" the message of what vaporwave in its own way. But then one can argue that the practice at play of someone just posting and making a qrates to make it is actually bad practice due it being funded through 3rd party company to create the vinyl and for the individual to potentially profit from the project. It can also invite bad practices such as scalpers, and creating of bootlegs that can be easily be just manufactured shoddily and and resold for high. There are so many arguments that can be made here about it as well but those are a few examples. The issue has also brought on topics such as sampling and the legality and use of them, the idea of limited represses, promises and failed delivery by artist and labels at times, and other issues it has presented about physical vaporwave as a whole.
