I deleted my post after I said the VA hasn't helped at all and all the questions I got were about the VA. I'm a smart person and a great researcher. But I am in a tough situation with no support system. The VA is NOT a magical place that helps Vets. They do not care like you think they do.

if you are a man with cptsd expect no help.

if you are a man with cptsd expect your family to be 2 or 3 years behind your healing

if you are a man and homeless with cptsd expect no help

if you are a man with cptsd and seeing a therapist or doctor, expect no help

it seems as though your maturity and intelligence has surpassed that of your parents, who were selfish in your upbringing. you will need to rethink somethings about life because of this negative influence. if you cannot afford a home, i cant either, being homeless is not that bad. but no one is going to save you. you have to save yourself, or try, even if you are injured or want to be more focused on your healing.

set attainable goals, keep moving forward.

personally i had to quit alcohol so i had a better chance
