Have not found a movie that truly scares me in a while

I used to always get super jumpy and scared during movies and I loved that. Any recommendations for something that could bring the scare back?

Not really - it's part of growing up. Horror has lots of compelling qualities, but no adult should be so detached from reality that they are genuinely scared by a movie. I think it's why so many of us ultimately gravitate towards films that present horrifying ideas, more than the amusement park startles that Horror made for younger audiences tries for.

That said, maybe check out the original version of Funny Games - I thought that was pretty unnerving. I just posted it elsewhere here, but the war film Come and See is devastating.
