It’s not about making up for past injustices, it’s about balancing the current playing field. Black people get a much worse education on average, many are stuck in garbage neighborhoods and lack encouragement to excel in academics. They don’t work as hard because that’s the culture they’re born into.

Similarly, Asian people don’t get higher scores because they’re smarter than other races, they get higher scores because of the culture they’re born into. That’s the unfair racial advantage/disadvantage, on paper there are zero discriminatory barriers. That’s why colleges are attempting to weight SAT scores based on circumstances.
