Denmark, one of the richest countries in the world, already bitching about their Nato commitment

The British media is crammed full of lefty champagne socialist luvvies that are completely out of touch with the average British person outside of London. The BBC and Channel 4 are some of the worst offenders. Only last night they had one of their heinous hit-piece "comedy satire shows" on called "BBC Two - Frankie Boyle's American Autopsy"...

what is going on in America at the moment in which Boyle is joined by a strong panel featuring Sara Pascoe, Katherine Ryan and special guests, American comedians Michelle Wolf and Desiree Burch, and token bloke Richard Osman (it is compulsory to have Osman as a guest these days).

Boyle puts three propositions to the panel and the audience - 1) that anybody in the room would be a better President 2) that America hates women and 3) that the US entertainment industry should be destroyed.

Don't gauge your opinion of British values and attitudes on our truly disgusting media. Despite the endless left wing propaganda and perceived disdain for Trump, Farage and the Conservative party, the UK is still a traditionally conservative country, with a Conservative party majority, and a UKIP majority in the European Parliament. UKIP also got 4 million votes in the last election, and Farage is polarizing - but wildly popular - in many parts of the UK. He was filling halls with thousands of Leave supporters up and down the country before the referendum (sound familiar?). You wouldn't know this based on the horribly biased coverage we have on TV.

I think it's fair to say that the quiet majority doesn't think Americans or Trump are racist, and we certainly don't think you're morons - despite the picture both our and your media tries to paint of Trump supporters being white redneck KKK members. If anything, 2016 has shown that British and American values are now more closely aligned than they have been in a very long time. We know what it's like to be vilified for exercising our democratic rights too... Just take a look at /r/worldnews or /r/news or /r/europe when we voted to leave the EU... The amount of misinformation was staggering. There was what felt like a global effort to paint the UK as stirring the pot of fascism and becoming literally Hitler. Trump supporters and American voters in general are now getting the exact same treatment.
