By the way, what is actually up with the drama? I understand that life can be extremely hard, and she sounds like she is going through some stuff. But it sucks not getting an update until every month or two. That is fine but I wish she would change the "updated Mondays and fridays" banner.
I also didn't understand that thing about making her site look like looney tunes for the peop l e who think it is too offensive. I got really excited because i saw a post and thought it was an update. But it was just a post getting angry at stupid people. It was unnecessary, passive agressive, and gave real fans false hope in an update. It looks like she took it down, but it's just hard. I HAVE Depression AND Anxiety AND Chronic pain. I know how incredibly difficult it is to continue to work under those circumstances, while at the same time being harassed by people who don't like you or support you.
I was just sad that she was giving attention to her enemies. If it is that hard for her to deal with, maybe set up an email or notification thing that filters out any shit talkers. Or make an email specifically for avas demon and get someone else to filter the shitty comments for her if this all is really affecting her posting and mental health. Maybe I am thinking too much into it. I am not demanding she start making regular updates. But just be upfront with their frequency (which she is already kind of doing which is good) and don't give attention to offended people over your fans. There will always be offended people. But there has been especially lately, with the kick starter and animation stuff, an outpouring of support and love for her work. But she gave attention to being openly angry about these horrible people.
I am not in any way trying to give her a hard time. I was just disappointed. But the truth is I don't know really who she is, and even though I have experienced extreme trauma in my life (and it sounds like the same for her), i don't know exactly what it is like for her. Only she can know that. I am not saying she is bador that she needs to be forced to update or do anything that would hurt her health or mental health.
She just has been going on so long without regularly updating, that the banner up top doesn't really apply aymore. She can do text updates, without posting oannels. If she has no ppanels to post, that is fine just maybe make a text update giving a couple words about her hiatus or something. Often times she won't do a text post when she does a panel update after a hiatus, so I keep going to latest trying to catch an update.
I am not going to read this comic anymore for several months. It is too hard to keep hoping and hoping. It is a beautiful comic and i love it and am so glad she is making it. I don't want her to work past her ability and burn out, but i am not going to expect regular updates for a very very long time.
