As a black dude from south Nj I don’t understand how people continue to say this. I’d say I’ve encountered 1 actual, genuine racist in my life and have seen maybe 1 confederate flag where I grew up.

I’d say that my class was was fairly diverse, about ~1/3 of us were black, Latino, Indian, etc. My school was definitely more progressive, teaching us about climate, other world issues, accepting people for what they identify and teaching us stuff that Fox News would claim as anti American activity.

People need to stop clowning on South Nj like this. There’s only a few counties that are actually like that, meanwhile most of our other counties are completely sane, normal people.
