If 2 bigs are taken in the top 12 like you’re saying it’s almost certain some of these prospects will be available. Also you do realize that your logic of “not impactful defenders” makes no sense when this is the trade your proposing. I’d much rather take my lumps with some promising rookies over actively making the team worse AND losing draft capital for future cap space that won’t really even matter it just doesn’t make a ton of sense . Also hornets don’t need flexibility to extend PJ/ Miles they have their bird rights so they can go Over the cap to sign them. Also hornets are close to the luxury tax so the John wall expiring really isnt useful to them in terms of cap unless they can move him again for a player they want that can fill the salary slot. He’s a very useful expiring to a team like the rockets or something but in the hornets case they’d just be losing a max salary slot.
