Why did Morbid never cover Elizabeth Smart?

For me, what it boils down to is this: Albert Fish got a 4 part series, JTR was 5 parts, listener tales have 472738 parts, spooky fucking ROADS haven don’t want to even think about how many parts…l

I fully recognize that because I have a tangential/location based association with the case, nothing would ever be enough for me. But to hear those scam artists talking about it really grinds my gears.

For ~reasons~ I lived with my grandparents when I was 7-14, right around the block from the Burger King Amanda worked at and was kidnapped on her way home from. As soon as she was kidnapped, I was placed on house arrest for years and so were most of my neighborhood friends.

Sure it was (and is) a shit part of Cleveland, yes I recognize saying that is redundant, but those kidnappings and especially Amanda’s terrified the ever loving fuck out of everyone in the area regardless of race, socioeconomic status, and so on.

When there are survivors of horrific crimes, I feel they should be THE only ones to tell their story.

Sorry for the disjointed-ness. Have had a rough week and decided excessive margaritas would be a good idea
