Does gender have anything to do with it ?

I’m a bit tired of this argument because I feel it invalidates a lot of people’s concerns, including mine. I don’t listen to male podcasters. I have only listened to Morbid and Crime Junkie. And I loved Morbid. It was really fun. But they lost me with their defensiveness to criticism and lack of professionalism. I think the reason I’m harping on it so much is because I loved the show so much. I was so invested. And then it took a turn for me, hearing the bitterness in their voices with the “packie” comment. Then the Brittanee Drexel stuff with being so unnecessarily cruel to those girls based on no evidence, just speculation. It really offended me as a professional in this world that they just didn’t care to be professional. So I guess that’s my bias coming out. I expect people to act professional in their jobs (yeah, this podcast is their job) and be respectful, know when to admit they don’t know something or admit when they made a mistake.

I was a big fan of this podcast, and I felt hurt on a personal level (which is stupid I know). I’m slowly disengaging from this podcast and this sub. I can’t even listen to true crime anymore, it’s been tainted by the revelations of how family members are impacted every time anyone with a podcast or YouTube channel wants to cover their story.

Im just sticking with the feel good podcasts for now like the Office Ladies.
