(Discussion) Process of Selecting Maps

Should captains still pick the maps?

Yes. I see no point really in anyone else doing it seeing as it needs to be done before the season starts and most other process would probably take longer

Should a committee pick the maps?

No.

Well maybe. Depends a lot though on how the people who will make up this committee are selected. I think the process of having to pick this committee and then them having to pick maps would just waste time to end up with what would most likely be close to what the captains would have picked anyway. Like I said though, it depends greatly on how they are selected.

Should we change the voting format for captains?

Seems to work pretty well, why fix whats not broken?

Should the community still get to pick a map?

Depends what you care more about. Quilty of play and happiness of players, or Hype. Letting them pick a map will probably generate more hype but you run the risk of a situation like S7 with TWP which was just a ciriclejerk and I don't think anyone enjoyed it really.

On the other hand if you don't let them pick you get less hype but lose the risk of circlejerking picking a shitty map.

Personally I say no to this. But thats just me.

Should the community get to pick more than one map?

No.

Should we still allow captains to choose center flag?

Honestly I don't really care about this one. I like CF games but I know a vast majority of players don't.

Should we still disallow the community from choosing center flag?

Same as above.

Should we allow non-rotation maps to be selected?

Yes. Opens the doors for competitive only maps which could greatly increase the quality of game play.

Should we change the amount of "new maps" that go into place?

Really have no preference.

Should we change the definition of "new maps?

What would you change it too? Something like new map = map never played? Well you could quickly run out of maps then. I think the definition is fine.
