VIII.c - I suggest striking "unless it is clear it is a joke" - if it's clear it's a joke then it won't come to the CRC's attention in the first place. This phrasing just gives the trolls and bullies a pass to "jokingly" troll and bully. (NLTP struck this phrase for precisely this reason a couple seasons ago.)

VIII.d - maybe add that there will be a weekly trash talk thread, and clarify that players must only smack talk with players who they know to be fine with it? Basically if I don't participate in the trash talk thread and I don't talk smack myself the rules shouldn't encourage directing smack at me. IMHO the wording should be more like "smack talk is always permitted in the weekly thread for that purpose. When directing smack at a particular player, players must believe in good faith that the target is okay with it." (Or something like that, I dunno.)

We've seen that there's some confusion over what the league's behavior standards are, so it's worth taking a second look to see if this section can be made a bit clearer.
