Why don’t you trust cops?

I’ll keep this short because it pisses me off to tell it.

My neighbor that lived a block over in my old neighborhood, had two German Shepards that got out of his screen door and attacked our two dachshund mix pups as we were walking them to the park.

I had to grab one of the by the collar and pull him off of my dog. My dog squirmed out of his leash and bolted home as they chased him and I chased them.

The neighbor just happened to be pulling into his driveway and saw what was happening. He hauled ass down the street and grabbed his dogs. Came back half an hour later as we were loading up to take our dog to the emergency vet and apologized and blamed it on his 12 year old daughter leaving their screen door open. He actually walked her over to their door and made her apologize to us the next day which I thought was weird as fuck.

The vet stitched up our dog and had to put in a drain which he had in for three weeks and he had to wear a cone for a month.

I took the $560 vet bill over to the guy and his bitchy wife and the agreed to pay us.

I gave them six months and never heard from them even though they lived within a stones throw away and then filed a lawsuit at small claims court.

It took another six months to go to court…which ended up being a Zoom meeting. When the meeting opened, I found out he was a COP because he was sitting in his living room wearing his cop uniform..for the meeting.

He told a bunch of lies. Said that we had agreed to a payment plan and that he tried to contact me and that my wife had dropped a book off on their stoop that had a scene in it where a dog gets shot.

Luckily, the judge ruled in my favor and I received a cashier’s check from the shithead.

Anyway, I was disappointed but not surprised that he LIED in court and I was worried about not getting that money.

He blamed the whole thing on his little girl and accused my wife of intimidation.
