I get that it’s marketing and probably something they want to promote. But using the details of an OD in a one minute clip at the end of what is generally comedy is jarring and out of touch for people who try to be so socially correct.

I was a long time opiate addict and have been clean for several years but I had literally dozens of friends die this way. It’s sucks. A couple I literally watched helplessly in some disgusting bathroom. It’s fucking horrendous.

I’m not a big “trigger” worrier or someone who needs a warning on everything that might upset them, but on every goddam podcast they released the last couple weeks I have to hear about a guy ODing. Every time I can’t get to skip fast enough I think about all my friends who died and how that’s what I spent years trying to do. Subconsciously I hoped every time I used it would be the one that killed me.

This is what it brings up for me. I totally get the whole argument of it’s their content they need to promote it if you don’t like it skip it. I’m not against it because it’s annoying. I’m against it because it fucking hurts. And every time I also think about the person who hears it and goes “damn, I need a fix” and tries to find the closest bathroom
