I kind of celebrated my birthday alone since childhood. My parents never made a fuss kasi di naman ako yung paborito charot. except nung 18th birthday ko. Greet lang ganun. Minsan may cake kadalasan wala and my mom would always be in an affiliation something. Tapos naawkwardan din ako when people sing happy birthday saken. Parang ang awkward nung thank you knowing that the culture I grew up in nag-eexpect ng pakain. Lol. So most of the day, I just do my usual activities.

Now that I'm an adult living alone tapos with good friends and colleagues, I'm okay with the greetings na kasi di naman sila nag-eexpect ng libre. Sila actually yung nang-titreat sa may birthday. I'd usually take a leave if malapit sa RD. Tulog, linis bahay, order food, nood, read. Ganon lang.

Kabalik sa office, people will greet you or sing happy birthday ng di sabay sabay and iba ibang version lol.
