No, because astronaut isn't investing the money you put in, they're investing the money in the fund, and you get returns from a portion of the fund.

Thanks for clarifying. I had a gap in my logic which you have cleared up - if I invest 1 ETH in ASTRO, they are investing something like 0.3 ETH from the fund on my behalf, hence the returns do need to be 2-3 times larger than my own returns.

Currently the current market cap is $14m. If they achieve the same growth next quarter the fund will be (5,956,530 * 1.70 = $10m). If they can beat 170% next quarter the ratio between fund and market cap will be reduced pretty significantly.

The property investment market is mature enough to have reasonably clearly defined relationships between interest rates, annual yields and property prices. It varies between location, but let's say it's around 5%. If rents in the area go up, property values tend to go up to retain that 5% investment ROI.

It is going to be fascinating to see how this plays out in the crypto world. If ASTRO maintained an 80% annual ROI, someone could invest their annual salary into ASTRO and retire as soon as their first dividend is paid.

Other than this, I don't think we actually disagree on the fundamental forces at play here. Out of curiosity, how much better do you think Astronaut's returns will be compared to yours?

Yes I think we're on the same page. My gut feeling is that ASTRO will at least match my returns in the worst case, and the upside potential is almost unlimited. If ASTRO invests in one ICO like XRB that I otherwise would have missed, the investment will pay for itself.

How about you, do you have a specific return goal in mind for ASTRO?
